The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) has stated that the African Motion Congress (AAC) and New Nigeria Peoples Celebration (NNPP) are but to add particulars of their candidates contesting for various political positions on the fee’s nomination portal.

Festus Okoye, INEC’s nationwide commissioner for info and voter schooling instructed newsmen that all political events that carried out legitimate primaries are anticipated to add their candidates’ particulars through its nomination portal from July 1 to July 15.

“In the meantime, the Fee has constantly responded to requests for the issuance of Licensed True Copies (CTCs) of paperwork primarily arising from the conduct of social gathering congresses, primaries and nomination of candidates. The variety of requests processed has now risen to 1 million, 600  and sixty-two thousand, 9 hundred and eighty seven (1,662,987) pages of paperwork.

“Sadly, regardless of  the Fee’s effort, 147 out of 476 requests processed as at right this moment involving 5,646 pages are but to be collected by candidates. The Fee appeals to potential litigants to come back ahead and accumulate the licensed copies of the paperwork.”
