To spice up Osun’s internally generated income, governor-elect Ademola Adeleke says his administration will invite Zimbabweans to put money into the state agriculture sector.

“To generate IGR, we’ll put money into agriculture. It’s going to be our precedence as a result of we have now fertile land in Osun State.

“Something can develop in Osun State, even lemon. Lemon can develop right here in Nigeria. You recognize that Zimbabweans are good at farming. We are going to invite them to return make investments right here.

“So agriculture goes to be one in every of our agenda to enhance our financial system,” Mr Adeleke mentioned.

He disclosed this in an interview with Channels TV on Monday, a day after he was declared winner of the July 16 election by the Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC).

Mr Adeleke emerged winner of Osun’s governorship election, defeating incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.

The governor-elect polled 403,371 votes to unseat Mr Oyetola who scored 375,027 votes.
