Armed males on Saturday, kidnapped two Catholic Clergymen of St. Patrick’s Catholic church Uromi and St. Joseph Retreat centre Ugboha, each in Edo State.
The monks, Rev. Father Udoh Peters and Rev. Father Philemon Oboh have been reportedly kidnapped alongside the Benin-Ekpoma approach at about 8:45 pm.
The Edo State Police Command in affirmation of the incident mentioned each clerics have been coming back from Asaba the place they’d attended a funeral of a colleague.
Chatting with THE WHISTLER in a cellphone dialog, the State’s Police Spokesperson Chidi Nwabuzor, mentioned the police had begun a search of the victims and the abductors to rescue them unharmed.
