Vince Staples' Present-Giving Sizzling Take Resurfaces, Thinks It's Egocentric

Vince Staples left folks with a philosophical tackle gift-giving that’s now resurfacing and making people assume … yeah, the man has a degree — it’s kinda the other of selfless.

The Lengthy Seashore rapper sat down with Complicated’s Speedy Morman again in April to plug his new album, ‘Ramona Park Broke My Coronary heart,’ and throughout the dialogue … they landed with regards to presents, one thing VS apparently does NOT prefer to partake in.

Watch … he tells the host that he doesn’t like presents — giving or receiving them, apparently. He explains that, in his thoughts, the act itself is often extra so in regards to the individual really giving the present than it’s in regards to the one getting it … counterintuitive to the idea itself.

Vince’s reply is illuminating when requested why he’s not a gift-giver … “As a result of presents aren’t selfless. He provides … “If someone gave you a present and also you had been like, ‘Alright, fasho, thanks,’ they gonna be mad.” Vince says the gift-giver is usually looking for reassurance they’re an excellent individual.
